A Sid Haig Fan Tribute

I first became aware of Sid Haig when I watched House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects back to back. Haig portrays Captain Spaulding, a bearded clown with bad teeth who runs a museum of the macabre that is also a fried chicken restaurant. His performances were deliciously funny. If you like over the top performances, you'll thoroughly enjoy Haig's role in these two movies.

Sid Haig Biography

Sid Haig was born Sidney Eddy Mosesian on July 14, 1939 in Fresno, California. His early career consisted of his role in Blaxploitation movies with Pam Grier. His most popular role to date though has been his performance in Rob Zombie's two movies, House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects.

Sid Haig has said that he is "tall, bald, and almost always bearded". He turned down the role of Marseillus Wallace in Pulp Fiction, but went on to appear in Jackie Brown, which reunited him with Pam Grier. Since he almost always played a thug in movies opposite Grier in the 1970's, it was considered comical that he'd been cast as a judge opposite her in this new film.

Sid the Hypnotist, Sid the Drummer

Sid HaigSid Haig is also a licensed hypnotherapist with a practice in Simi Valley, California. He practices under the name Sid Mosesian-Haig. He was also a professional drummer with his own band.
