Here’s a quick roundup of Rob Zombie news, links and headlines:

    • Shock Til You Drop offers some comments about Halloween 2 and mentions that many of the people who worked on The Devils Rejects have also worked on this movie. Rob Zombie keeps repeating that Halloween 2 was made on 16mm instead of 35mm, as if that’s somehow going to automatically make this sequel better than his first Halloween outing. I think he’s missing the point about what was wrong with Halloween.
    • MTV has some really great news. The Haunted World of El Superbeasto might actually see a limited theatrical release. I couldn’t be happier about this news; I’m a LOT more excited about The Haunted World of El Superbeasto than I am about more of Rob Zombie’s Halloween interpretation.
    • Rock Star Weekly offers a nice summary of what we can expect from The Haunted World of El Superbeasto.
    • Entertainment Weekly is also confused about why the horror movies don’t come out on Halloween. I’ve always wondered the same thing. ESPECIALLY as it applies to the Halloween franchise. It just seems like a no-brainer to release THOSE particular movies on October 31.
    • Fangoria is having a Halloween 2 mashup contest. If you think you’ve got the editing chops, go enter the contest and see what happens. If you win, be sure to mention us over here at RobZombieMovies.com.

And that’s my Thursday afternoon post about Rob Zombie news, links and headlines. I’m out of town this weekend, so I might not post again until Monday.
