The Haunted World of El Superbeasto Redband Trailer

    Monday, August 17th, 2009

The fine folks at Horror Yearbook have posted the new The Haunted World of El Superbeasto redband trailer. In order to watch the trailer, you’re required to input your age. But there’s nothing particularly disconcerting about the trailer. So far, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto looks a lot better than Halloween 2. I’m really looking forward to it even more now that I’ve seen the red-band trailer.

    Halloween 2 TV Spots

    Monday, August 17th, 2009

Dread Central has posted six Halloween 2 tv spots. Won’t be much longer now…

Rob Zombie News, Links and Headlines

    Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Here’s a quick roundup of Rob Zombie news, links and headlines:

    • Shock Til You Drop offers some comments about Halloween 2 and mentions that many of the people who worked on The Devils Rejects have also worked on this movie. Rob Zombie keeps repeating that Halloween 2 was made on 16mm instead of 35mm, as if that’s somehow going to automatically make this sequel better than his first Halloween outing. I think he’s missing the point about what was wrong with Halloween.
    • MTV has some really great news. The Haunted World of El Superbeasto might actually see a limited theatrical release. I couldn’t be happier about this news; I’m a LOT more excited about The Haunted World of El Superbeasto than I am about more of Rob Zombie’s Halloween interpretation.
    • Rock Star Weekly offers a nice summary of what we can expect from The Haunted World of El Superbeasto.
    • Entertainment Weekly is also confused about why the horror movies don’t come out on Halloween. I’ve always wondered the same thing. ESPECIALLY as it applies to the Halloween franchise. It just seems like a no-brainer to release THOSE particular movies on October 31.
    • Fangoria is having a Halloween 2 mashup contest. If you think you’ve got the editing chops, go enter the contest and see what happens. If you win, be sure to mention us over here at RobZombieMovies.com.

And that’s my Thursday afternoon post about Rob Zombie news, links and headlines. I’m out of town this weekend, so I might not post again until Monday.

Halloween 2 Final Destiny Television Spot

    Monday, August 10th, 2009

Is Halloween 2 competing directly with The Final Destination movie? Read what the folks at Fearnet have to say about it, and make your own call. (You can watch the tv spot at the link too.)

Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 is Given an MPAA Rating of R

    Friday, August 7th, 2009

From our friends at Horror Movies.ca, the new Rob Zombie Halloween 2 has been given an R rating. Some of the reasons for the R rating include:

    • Nudity
    • Language
    • Sexual content
    • Violence

If anyone thinks that a Rob Zombie movie is appropriate for children…well, maybe they shouldn’t have children…

Rob Zombie to Appear on Jimmy Kimmel

    Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

On the Tuesday, August 25 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, look for an interview with Rob Zombie. The timing of Rob Zombie’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel obviously coincides with the release date of Halloween 2, which premieres on August 28.

    Fangoria Halloween Retrospective

    Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Fangoria posted a really cool Halloween retrospective. It consists of a single-paragraph about every movie in the Halloween franchise, and it also includes the trailer for each Halloween movie since the first one.

And if that’s not enough Halloween goodness for you, go check out the Rob Zombie interview about Halloween 2 here.

Halloween 2 Soundtrack News & Links

    Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Let’s get this blog started off with a bang by linking to some really cool news about the upcoming Rob Zombie movie, Halloween 2:

Most of the latest Rob Zombie and Halloween 2 news relates to the soundtrack of the movie. Some of the songs featured on the Halloween 2 soundtrack include:

    • “Nights in White Satin” by the Moody Blues
    • “The Things We Do For Love” by 10cc
    • “I Know I’m Losing You” by Rod Stewart
    • “I Just Wanna Make Love to You” by Foghat

All in all, it looks like a typical Rob Zombie movie soundtrack.
